It wasn\u2019t even necessarily too cold, although there was a fair bit of wind. But, after seeing the <strong>LEr warning<\/strong> on the digital display I knew something was up.<br \/><br \/>Often when you receive the low temperature code on your pellet grill it can indicate more than it just being a little too cold outside.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here is what the low temperature code on a pellet grill really means, what it looks like for each brand of pellet grill, and what you can do about it\u00a0 &#8212; so you can get back to uninterrupted class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\">\n\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A low temperature warning will display when the temperature has dropped below 150-125\u00b0F for 10-20 minutes depending on the model and brand of your pellet grill.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The low temperature warning is really telling you that it\u2019s not hot enough to ignite the wood pellets properly to generate sufficient temperature and smoke to continue smoking. You\u2019ll normally face the low temperature code on your pellet grill when you\u2019re trying to start it up, as once it gets going properly the insulation is usually able to keep the temperature above the threshold.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The low temperature warning error appears slightly differently between major brands and models of pellet grills. It\u2019s more about getting it up to temp correctly.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Luckily, there are more than a few easy ways you can get your pellet grill up to temperature through harsh cold and windy weather conditions and avoid any low temperature warnings. The wind not only quickly drains the temperature from the exterior of the smoker as it passes over it, but it can also blow through the unit and disturb the hot rod and induction fan.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the wind is causing you some grief, then you can also get <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/grillsimply.com\/using-an-extension-cord-with-your-pellet-grill\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">an extension cord for your pellet grill<\/a>,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> this way you can choose exactly where to set it up in your backyard, patio, or porch to become as sheltered as possible.
